Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how CashBucks Solutions Private Limited (“CashBucks,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit our website, use our apps or dashboards, apply as an influencer or brand, or participate in campaigns.
CashBucks operates from British Columbia, Canada, and this Policy is designed to comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy law. Where users are located in other jurisdictions whose laws apply (such as the EU/UK GDPR), we honor those requirements as well. Local legal review is recommended before relying on this Policy for compliance purposes.
1. Personal information we collect
- Account and profile data: name, email address, contact information, login credentials, influencer or brand profile details.
- Platform data: identifiers and metrics from social media platforms (for example, follower counts) obtained via integrations such as Phyllo, subject to those platforms' and providers' terms.
- Transaction data: purchases made at partner brands, cashback amounts, budgets, fees, and payout records. Payout account details are collected only once payout functionality is live.
- Purchase verification data: receipt images or PDFs you upload, order numbers, purchase amounts and dates, and activation-code usage records from partner brands' stores.
- Content data: links to social media posts you submit, and engagement metrics (such as view counts) retrieved for those posts via our verification provider.
- Technical data: IP address, device identifiers, browser type, cookie data, log files, and approximate location.
- Communication data: support messages, feedback, or inquiries you send to us — for example, through our Contact page.
2. How we use personal information
- Operate, maintain, and secure the Service, including account management, dashboards, and campaign tracking.
- Verify influencers and brands, assess follower and engagement authenticity, and prevent fraud or misuse.
- Calculate, pay, and report cashback, affiliate commissions, and any applicable fees, and provide brands with performance metrics.
- Communicate with you about your account, campaigns, updates, and policy changes.
- Analyze usage and improve the Service, including through aggregated analytics.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
3. Automated and human review
We use automated tools to assist our review of submitted receipts (for example, reading a receipt image and comparing it to the details you entered) and to flag unusual submission patterns. These tools are advisory only: no decision that affects your eligibility, earnings, or account is made solely by automated means — a human member of our team makes all final decisions, including content-quality assessments.
4. Pre-launch waitlist and marketing consent
If you apply before our public launch, we use your contact information to review your application and to send you service updates about your account and our launch. We will only send commercial electronic messages (such as newsletters or promotions) in accordance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), and where consent is required we will ask for it separately. You can unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time.
5. Legal bases for processing (GDPR/UK GDPR)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on legal bases such as:
- Consent, for certain marketing communications or non-essential cookies, if and when we introduce them.
- Performance of a contract, when we process data necessary to provide the Service or pay cashback and fees.
- Legitimate interests, for service improvement, security, and fraud prevention, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligations, where we must retain data for tax, accounting, or regulatory reasons.
6. Sharing of personal information
We may share personal information with:
- Service providers who help us run the Service (for example, payment processors, hosting providers, and verification services such as Phyllo), under contracts that limit their use of data.
- Partner brands, to the extent necessary to show them aggregated or campaign-level performance metrics and fulfil campaign obligations.
- Professional advisers and authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the Service.
7. International transfers
If we transfer personal information across borders, we will use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms where required.
8. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, fulfil campaigns, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Retention periods may differ for account records, transaction data, and communications, and we periodically review data to delete or anonymize information that is no longer needed.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights such as:
- Access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion of certain data, subject to legal or contractual limits.
- Restriction of or objection to certain processing, especially where we rely on legitimate interests.
- Data portability for information you provided to us.
- Withdrawal of consent at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing.
10. How to exercise your rights
You can exercise these rights by contacting us through our Contact page or at info@cash-bucks.com; we may need to verify your identity before acting on the request.
11. Children's privacy
The Service is not intended for children under the minimum age required to use social platforms or enter contracts, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If we learn that we have collected data from a child contrary to this Policy, we will delete it and may restrict access to the Service.
12. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in and to secure your account. We do not currently use analytics or marketing cookies; if that changes, we will update this section and our Cookie Policy, and will only set non-essential cookies after you provide consent.
13. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, and will change the effective date and, where appropriate, provide notice through the Service or by email.
Your continued use of the Service after an update indicates that you have read and understood the revised Privacy Policy.
14. Contact and Privacy Officer
CashBucks has designated a Privacy Officer accountable for compliance with this Policy. Questions, requests, or complaints may be directed to our Privacy Officer at info@cash-bucks.com or through our Contact page. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
